I dislike this ship and why... It can be lore based, flight based, design based I don't care. But nothing longer than a short paragraph and only one subject as previously described, unless it's a short snide remark on something small. Don't want to start debates here I just want to have some fun so one response per person please. Maybe we'll open it up to two then next time I try this. Plus just please emote the range (from like to mad) if you would I want to keep this lighthearted and fun!

I'll start so the example I'm describing:

I hate the Vanguard, and why is a bit of a sob story. When it was in concept we were told about the BUK modular system and I was all on board, I bought it all because it was just a cool design idea and the modules they had were different enough that I could enjoy all the gameplay they provided. I especially loved the E-War BUK and it's potential across a battlefield, however when they dropped that design concept from the table and moved on I was heart-broken, even when I walked thru them after they redesigned them as individual ships it didn't feel the same as I wanted it to.

I also was heart-broken when they changed the name from Bulldog to Vanguard! I wanted to slap a bitch...

I'm not a fan of salvage. Having a stripper in your life often just leaves you dirty, broke & in need of a Dr visit for an array of shots to take care of any infections caught during that time period. Feel free to take this in whichever way you want, it'll probably be true in that manner & most others. Cheers!

Unfortunately since learning to love the Starfarer for what it is I don't dislike any one ship but looking through my hangar it's full of ships no one likes so that might explain it.

Starfarer? People hate the inside and the cockpit view, so of course I've got two.

That said one ship I am less enamoured with now than I was in the early days is the 350r. It's my main ride, I'll always love it as it has taken me on all of my adventures in SC and the redesign is awesome giving it the abilities it always should have done from the start and that fantastic moon-roof, but something about it changed when it got its new clothes. It went from looking like it was going 1000m/s stat still on the pad to something a little bit iPod. If it looked like a Zonda previously, it went to looking like a Honda Civic. No offence to Honda that car is a fine and attractive vehicle, but sporty and aggressive look it not and now neither does the 350r. I still love that ship but miss its gull wing doors that let you climb on to the wing. It's dual engines which actually looked different to the rest of the ships in the range etc. It's my favourite ship. Yes I've customised it to be the Test Yellow by default. No it doesn't look like it's going 1000m/s sat still on the pad like a Zonda does parked still on a driveway.

That and the fact the 350r can still be one-shot. That sucks with Death Of A Space Man (DOASM) and limited Regenerations no ship in the 'Verse should be able to be one-shot not even the tiny snubs a player always needs to have a chance to escape death.

I don't know why exactly, but I really dislike Origin ships, the ugliest and most useless being the 400i, and then the 890...
They look too clean, too sleek. When I see them I just want to annihilate threm in a big boom. Those ships tries to mimic the shape of yatch boat but I guess this was a poor design choice. The 400i is so ugly that I got it refunded partly for that reason :)
Those ships are in general strangely designed for their interior (400i entrance ie), lots of empty spaces or awkward rooms.
And the 400i has all the things I dislike in various Origin ships...
Hopefully the 85x and the M-50 are different from the rest of Origin ships.

So that's why the 400i you sold me was so cheap! :wut:

I'd have to say the Redeemer at the moment. It has a shot at improving in the future, though.

"This handles like complete shit but at least the turret gunners are having fun--"

"These turrets suck! Just drop me off in random space. I'll have more fun floating in emptiness!"

"You can't mean that!"

"Oh, I do! I freaking do!"

I dislike the levitation bullshit on the Nomad. It just feels waay too high-end and alien on such a huge chunky starter ship. Also it's shaped exactly like something out of the Elite universe. Doesn't belong here.
On the same note, I dislike the Redeemer. It's great and all but it's generic sci-fi design just doesn't belong in this universe.

Question about the redeemer, how many citizens joined in on the development of it with CIG?

it’s a cool ship in my opinion but I’m curious if it was a few people or quite a big group throwing votes out on features?

At the risk of upsetting a lot of people...I really dont like the Drake ships...
That thrown together look combined with the cheap and not dependable lore just runs me the wrong way.
Really, knowing that it's undependable is part of why I like it. There was so much comparison to the MSR being the "Millennium Falcon" I wanted to gag. Nope, the Cutty is my version of that, it's just that feel of home to me while I'm flying it. Smuggle some, nothing that's going to get me real jail time though, the ship I go on small missions for every once in a while for kicks because it's versatile.
