I think this is one of the reasons why Fleet pics are a common occurrence in Concierge rather than Spectrum wide. It's a gated community, unless there is a con man willing to spend $1000 to make a list of marks to target it's a relatively safe space to enjoy what you enjoy about SC in. As said, the entry limit means they are more likely to be in with other people with spend to at least $1000 so they are in good company less likely to take offence as all members of The Chairmans Club already feel worse knowing they have spent enough to be in the club in the first place 😅

I appreciate your viewpoints and personally understand them them, totally get what you mean, I'm not a pic poster (any more) but I do also understand not everyone gets the same enjoyment out of SC that I do and a substantial portion of Pic posters are not posers or braggarts, for the most part they are not doing it to annoy or shame anyone, they are just getting their version of fun from the project with other people who get that same kind of fun which I myself may not... For example where you or I might be thrilled to find a cave packed with Picos on some moon in game and want to talk about it, they are just as thrilled about finally getting their fleet in order and want to discuss it and how they might improve it even further as their personal pet project.

To look at it from another angle: Where does the line sit between someone playing as s Bounty Hunter in game apprehending players and putting an end to their criminal actions, and someone interfering and trolling other players in game stopping them from progressing?

It's in the justifications and prompts for that action. If a player forcefully stops another player from trading Scrap, it's griefing because there is (currently) no prompt in game and no justification for stopping that action. Its only worth is in interfering in another players game for the pleasure of interfering in their play. A player stops another from trading illicit contraband it is justified as it is a high-gains but high-risk activity which the game itself also attempts to stop with NPCs and a prison system.

If someone ever posted a fleet pic and said "Yo, check out my e-peen is it BIG enough for ya yet? Aim for Legatus ya cheapskates!" yes that's gloating, mean spirited and trying to make others feel inferior, but I can't recall it ever happening... But when someone posts a fleet pic and says "I think I'm close to making the perfect fuel supply setup any ideas/angles on how to make it just spot on?" the prompt and justification are clear and present.

When looking at the initial intentions of fleet pictures, almost all of them even ones which seemingly don't have much prompt or justification initially actually do if one looks at it for a moment even if it is just "I believe this collection of ships reflects who I am as a person and I'm proud of that". A fleet post is almost always about that person, not about other people.

Couldn't agree more, their money, their fleet, their choice. Remember the Fleet Managers Motto: It's not the size, it's what you do with it that counts :like:
True i can see alot of points i dunno i have never been a people person and i know how dark people can get by looking at them from the outside.

I'll be assisting @DirectorGunner with his Jav in this experiment, but I'll be attempting to give his ship the edge by wearing the cheapest flight suit & armor so that my squishy self can absorb a micro fraction of the impact by using my digital body like the tires along the sides of tug boats. Cheers!

Wait! Are you sure you wouldn't rather be like a gunner, cook, or bottle washer or something? Reason I ask is, well it might not be well known by y'all land lubbers, but the tires on that there very expensive tugboat are to stop it from scratching the even more expensive paint job on the nosebleedingly expensive behemoth they're towing. Not the tugboat. And if two of those things are going to collide, the tugboat and it's tires are about as useful as a string of toilet paper would be.

Fair enough, but it would make a decent audition tape to possibly get added to the movie Jackass: Beyond the Verse. I'll just have to get a few clones started automatically should I be hired while I'm in the tank being reformed as well.

How could I possibly forget such a glorious endeavor, we shall indeed play chicken, and neither of us will be the chicken!

Its official I'm a concierge is that good or bad 🤔 .
It totally depends on your personal perspective.
From CIG's perspective it's Great though. Just watch how much money they want you to spend now. Check the packages that come available.... Don't buy them unless you can do that without hurting your ability to, you know, buy groceries, pay rent or a mortgage, buy gas for the car, buy underwear. That kind of stuff.
Heed this warning!^^^^^ I bought an expanse a few hours ago. I will be living on jellybeans and kool-aide until next week, and there is no "JPEGs Anonymous" for this monkey on my back. Oh well, I need to drop a few pounds anyway.

Good advice.

Remember if you do find yourself in dire straits after treating yourself to a ship (for me bills, or the need to go help out a relative that needs a tank of gas, come outta nowhere), there is a 14 day no quibble refund window. Once those days are up though, all pledges are final.
