Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious - I see you've been in Test long enough to probably know all this, but I believe the Raven is not giftable. I'd like one too.

If you search this forum you'll find some old and new discussion of where to get codes, the fact that for a while they were apparently being 'duplicated' in that people figured out how to use one to get a Raven without fully redeeming the codes, CIG stamped down on that by making the redemption page unavailable, but you could still message them via their support system and redeem a code that way. Look for the posts - I didn't write any of them.

I think the trick to getting a Raven is to find someone selling the promo code that you can trust not to rip you off or sell a code that has already been previously used (maybe hundreds of times!), for a price you're willing to pay. I've spotted several for sale, but didn't bite because I couldn't satisfy either or both of those two conditions.

The Glaive is also fairly limited, but not as much as the Raven. It's available during this Alien week as part of very expensive Concierge-only packs. Much better chance of finding someone to sell you one of these, I would think. Did you search the marketplace already? @vahadar seems to be offering one for $350 with 10y insurance, but talk to him.

The BMM is available for sale on the RSI website right now, $550 warbond or $600 with some or all store credit. So... if you want it cheaper and want to contribute towards someone else's Concierge status and not be able to sell gift it on later... have you looked in our Marketplace for people offering them? Again, I think I saw @vahadar offering one with 6m ins for $350 + his usual fees and currency conversion charges, if you're Test main. Your RSI Handle 'TezTickle' goes to a 404 page (looks like https://robertsspaceindustries.com/citizens/CrashTD is you though), but our title and join date here implies you're well established. Chat with whoever you want to buy from and they'll let you know if they're happy to trade with you or not. Good luck - it's an awesome looking ship and I'm very excited about mine!

My Glaive is unfortunately now coming vith VAT (as 20% VAT is back in the shop), CrashTD already contacted me about it, too expensive ;)

I do have upgrade to the Glaive though, from the Starfarer Gemini, melt value is 10$, add VAT + taxes (edit : i have others if ppl need some).
But if you are in no rush, better wait for IAE this year, you can buy it yourself.

The BMM is still for sale yes, but only 6 months insurance. VAT will apply also.
But it would be around 460+ altogether (350*1.2*1.1 then conversion to euro), you might find some upgraded BMM (not standalone ship) at the same price with LTI on Reddit SCtrades (for now, but I would expect the BMM grey market price to raise within the next year).

Oh @Raven_King yes CrashTD is our friendly Scottish on discord 🍻 his previous name here was indeed Teztickle ;)

Something is happening with the Raven, it was hinted at by someone with direct knowledge, I would suggest someone who was in the market for a raven, to hold off paying the insane premium currently on the 6-month insurance raven codes, but you do you.

Ooh, mysterious. Do you mean rework to make it look and fly more like a standard Sabre, or something to do with its availability?

I would rather the raven first if its available.

Raven is indeed NOT giftable; the accounts that have them are where they will stay.

HOWEVER, I fully expect to see a 'Variant' released at some point, probably once the exclusivity agreement with INTEL expires. It's too cool a ship to let the design die before the game even releases.

EDIT: Given that it was introduced as a Datarunner by CR himself, could also happen that a variant would be introduced when that career comes into the game.

My guess is if there is a varient it will be missing something major... I'd expect the EMP not to feature at all on a publically available version.

EDIT - Sorry, forgot this is a WTB thread... Typical TEST, eh?

Hopium/Copium says its getting the Omega/Gamma treatment, but that's just a guess
I'm guessing they are keeping such a variant in the the bag for a year when ship sales are light and they need a quick bump. Else they would have already sold it. So I'd not wait to buy a Raven waiting on its Gamma/Omera variant. That said, I wonder about the value of the Raven these days, given that it has so little insurance compared to even older ships now. If a new variant comes with LTI, it will be interesting to see if Raven owners dump their ship en masse for that newer model (effectively invalidating years of Raven collecting)...

Aren't the 3 month ravens going for like 350+ on GM? Which is absolutely nuts.

Like all things in game development, holding your breath for something is sometimes fatal.

Can't dump, can't sell, can't give away, can't upgrade, can't melt. And yes, if a more capable variant comes out that maintains stealth, I'll get one. It is a fun ship to fly, and when stealth was working reasonably well made me a LOT of money.

It only has 2 months of insurance. Not meaningful in any sense.

I have the impression from a previous thread that the codes are no longer redeemable. Could be wrong about that. Otherwise, it's supply/demand at work. There were a finite number of codes and some folks have made a nice chunk of real money dealing in them.

They were not redeemable earlier this year from mid-march, but the redeeming page started working again mid-april.
