The Development History of SC Modularity (Video)

I saw this video linked and felt it was quite well done. Really does a fine job of quickly summing up the development of modularity in SC from 2014 to now.

It is not complete, of course. There are many more videos out there (showing off Caterpillar module prototypes and the like) but this is pretty good.

Really good video! It is always nice when somebody pulls together a single topic and CIG's progress over time. I'll have to watch that guy's other videos as well.

(I even love the title, "Retali - later", even if it makes me want to cry! lol)

That's interesting. I wish that author didn't use that voice or any of them... Yes, I'm complaining about the voice. No it is not a prejudice. If you can't tell, it's an AI voice using Read Aloud (an accessibility feature) I have to listen to them up to 18 hours/day.

Neat video and what a huge effort they must have gone to to get all the clips!

Feedback for them is please apply some effort to their normalization and averaging out the volume (called compression) of the sourced clips and other audio. The volume was jumping all over the place which wasn't helped by my crummy laptop speakers and for me was the difference between watching to the end and bailing half way through. Happy editing!

The volume of audio sources in a video should be an intentional choice of the creator to create mood and lend emphasis, not a coincidence based on how loud the original clip/song/voice was

There used to be http://www.scqa.info/ but that site doesn't seem to work anymore.
I tracked down a new site, https://www.beardphysics.com/star-citizen-holon/ but that seems to be down as well.
Wonder what happened, I doubt CIG would be DMCAing these resources?

There's also the term "technoweenie" used to describe those who spew technobabble when asked a question or otherwise trying to describe anything.
