The more you know!

I got a second hand laptop which always takes ages to turn on and it turns out it has one of those gawd awful Shingled HDDs.

I always hit CTRL+Shift+ESC to watch it crap its pants for 15 minutes as all the priorities ans ststem inturrupts cripple the damn thing sending the HDD to 100%. Now I know it is actually going "FFS" inside itself. All I wanna do is play Minecraft, yo!

Putting an SSD into that laptop would probably make it go FFS much faster!
My PC has been doing the blinky desktop of darkness, where the bg stays black and the tray at the bottom keeps blinking, for a good 5-10minutes upon login. It has something to do with one of my non-boot HDDs and wsappx.exe. If I kill that process, it all comes to life.
I thought it was a software error, but now I know that my PC is just like me, keeps pushing that snooze button cos waking up is just so hard!

I think that's too personal - and you might fart or take a piss. If it was a Blue, I'd never be able to tell the difference. How bout you climb out of the bottle and we go find a fresh twofer or a craft brewery.
