3.18 Bugs and continuing performance issues

As you all know by now, 3.18 Live has been having some big issues and a very rough launch over this weekend.

The 1900x bugs are the most likely error you will hit upon trying to log in.

We had various solutions floated like doing 10 push ups each time you get the bug.

Also shutting down all instances of the launcher and ALT-CTRL-R to refresh the launcher window, which worked for me. However, once you get past that error there is a character creation bug, and even once you get into the game, the ship terminals will not allow you to recall ships to some locations.

Bottom line is this may take a few days to iron out, CIG is aware of the issues some some poor dev team is going to working overtime for the next few days.

Wow, I could get in! And even spawn a ship, caht was working, everything seemed as usual. Except the asop terminal didn't wanna let me go and didn't show where my ship spawned. I managed to click x and got free. Checked my inventory and I seem to have all my stuff from my account for the first time in ages, including clothes like the leather coat which I was missing for the last 4-5 patches. Performance was all over the place on Orison. Stuttering left and right, than smooth over 100fps for a couple of seconds, than back to stuttering again... Players were as out of sync as is usual. Shuttle was on time though.
So overall it seems like things are improving, they are doing something in the background regarding servers and databases. Or I just got lucky at close to 4am on EU servers.

Sometimes if you can get past the login issues, changing regions helps. But first the "entitlement process" needs to work. I am currently not entitled.

As far as we know, this is not an issue we can affect no our side. It effects us and we just have to wait for a fix.

The only thing I was tempted to try was seeing loads of suggestions of making an ALT account on a different email and buying a starter package to play with while waiting for our older accounts to get fixed... Essentially getting a totally different copy/access to the game without all the toys we've collected over the years...

I don't play enough to make it worth trying that, but if you want to play badly enough you can get a refund within 14 days or if it takes longer than that to get your main account is fixed, you should be able to gift your ALTs package over to it after a month I believe...? Another bonus would be you can use your Main's referral code and get a little treat for the hassle/cost too.

That's assuming it works. I've heard nothing to suggest new players are having issues getting in, and some statements saying it may be having lots of ships which is causing the issue... so... that's my suggestion.

But it may not work, disclaimer: I have no idea if that would get you limited one-ship play access but it might be worth a try to those who can afford it.

EDIT - I would not recommend trying this. I'm not going to and it was my idea, so why should you? :glorious:

Keep trying. Add to the issue council post. You can't miss it, it's at the top when you log in the issue council page.
Like @NaffNaffBobFace says, check out the status page. I couldn't have said that better.

The adding a new account works, but once you're in (or with your regular account) you will find a bit of a mess, but it's sometimes almost perfectly playable. It's hit and miss, and nothing seems to help better your odds.

Also, check the game's feedback, using the ~ key as it's logging in. You get a little more detail about what's going on, and you can see when communications stop and the timeout occurs.

was able to log in today, created my character, took my reclaimer for a spin and salvaged solo in it a few hours. found out i really like salvage. Sanford and son was on to something.

Well, if your idea of "fun" is elevators maybe (or not!) working, ASOP terminals not working, ship claims not working, and a prevelance* of "can't get out of the seat so I must spam shift+R+Y+U" ... then yeah, you missed a bunch of fun!

* in the interest of brevity, I left some other bugs out...

EDIT -> before I forget, if you are stuck in your seat, in addition to spamming shift+R+Y+U, you can also black yourself out, or have a friend punch you out of the seat...you black out and when you come to, you can get out of the seat. SC has the most interesting work-arounds!

I managed to get in and yes it was painful not alot works really and it it does it doesn't work for long :-/
