Shocked there was no new ship like the lynx…maybe it was too close to the Antares and they didn’t want anyone doing CCU chains…

Thought so, thanks for confirming; guess no point for me then to spend 40% more to drop from 10yrs to 6mo insurance, oh well, sorry not sorry CIG!
The Phoenix Emerald is a bit of a poor deal, unless you also definitely want a Cyclone MT and don't mind, the 6 month insurance. For me that 6m ins is a big turn-off.

I have a 'Standalone Ship - Constellation Phoenix - IAE'. I can't remember if it was labelled as warbond when I bought it, and the description in my hangar and my billing page don't say warbond so I think not, but I paid for it with new money so perhaps it was. It cost GBP £357.00 incl. tax, or USD $350 without tax. The ship page definitely says it "The Phoenix comes with a Lynx rover and a Kruger P-72 Archimedes Fighter", and most importantly it has 120 months insurance. Expensive for a Connie, but really liked it and want to use it for VIP transport and as a solo runabout with the snub for a friend and for racing, and the rover for surface stuff. I'm happy to own it and don't expect to melt it.

Compare that with USD $440 before tax for a Fortuna Legends Pack Warbond, which has some 'special' paints (which are kind of nice, but... it's just a different colour!), plus the USD $75 Cyclone MT which is green anyway, only has 6 months insurance! That would be USD $425 worth of ships (assuming you think the normal Phoenix and Cyclone MT are worth that - debatable), and on top they're asking another $15 for the rare paintjobs and offering MUCH poorer insurance. If it had 120m insurance and you wanted a Cyclone MT anyway (I don't), that would seem okay. But with 6mths, no way. Shame you can't just buy a Phoenix Emerald paint or conversion pack. That would sell well.

That's why some people use LTI CCU on such pack to make it LTI, like the WTB right now in the marketplace, that's for this pack after.

You can upgrade the Ursa or Archimedes to nomad LTI and make the entire pack LTI. Too bad the MT is over the Reliant Kore or 315p which were the closest ship to the warbond LTI Nomad CCU in 2020

Whaaaat? You can make a whole pack LTI by upgrading one ship in it with a (very particular, old) CCU? Man, this game.

Yes.
I posted in the forum about that one in 2021 or 2022 with the concierge CS reply then, and reposted about it in discord a few days ago, as we had a talk about making this emerald pack lti.

My question then was about the Loot and scoot deluxe package, to make it LTI for Doc Flannigan. But the Skull and Crossbones paint got released some months after, so we never upgraded the pack to LTI in the end.

M4cex also already knew the trick and wants the CCU for that purpose, to get an LTI emerald phoenix thanks to the 6month pack.

That trick would also work with any other CCU with higher insurance, like 12 months or 120 months.

I think you misunderstand the pack:
The pack gives you the Cyclone MT, the P-72 Archimedes Emerald, and the Ursa Fortuna, along with the Constellation Phonix Emerald, as you noted. However the Constellation Phoenix Emerald also has a standard P-72 Archimedes as a SNUB fighter fitted, and a Lynx Rover for the vehicle\cargo bay. This means that the pack contains the following individual ships\vehicles: a Constelation Phoenix (Emerald), 2 x P-72's (One normal, one Emerald), A Lynx Rover, an Ursa Rover (fortuna), and a Cyclone MT.

The reason for this dates back to the original Constellation Phoenix Emerald's release (A time before "paints" were implemented and changing the "skin" for a flyable ship meant releasing a new "model" of it with slightly different name), where only the base ship was given a new colour, and not the snub. Some time after this, they decided (were urged by backers?) to release a P-72 and an Ursa Rover (as the Ursa is the "loaner" for a Lynx, which had not yet entered development) which would match\compliment the Phoenix Emerald's colour scheme. These were released individually to allow for owners of the Phoenix Emerald (as well as anyone else) to be able to buy them, as well as in a pack with it - They couldn't change the "Constellation Phoenix Emerald" to have these in place of the "base" versions without affecting owners of the original release(s).

The 890 Jump, Carrack (standard and Expedition), 600i Explorer, and Constellations Aquilla, Andromeda, and Phoenix (normal and Emerald), although listed as ships, sit somewhere between being classed as a "ship" and a "pack" - They contain additional vehicles\ships which should make up a part of the total listed price, but these additional ships\vehicles are not "upgradable" via CCU's like a standard ship\vehicle.

Unfortunately, the Lynx was already scheduled for release in 3.19.

How it will release is the interesting question: It has already been "sold" as part of the Constellation Phoenix, Constellation Phoenix Emerald, and in the "All Terrain Vehicle Mega Pack", but has never been sold on it's own\as its own "concept" sale. As a result, while it should have an LTI option when it finally appears (first time sold on its own), there is no guarantee that it will, as it has technically been sold before.

While I would love to see the Constellation Phoenix be sold with it (and getting LTI) as part of the release, I have a feeling that CIG will steer clear of this and instead include some other ships\vehicles in packs with it, but not have a pack witha Phoenix available for sale at that time... With the move from fixed "skins" to removable "paints" on ships, it also means that a green Lynx to go with the Constellation Phoenix Emerald can be included without "requiring" the pack to have LTI as the Lynx will be an already released ship at that time.

It is possible that if you have a "Lynx" in your hangar (or possibly an Ursa), there may be a chance for an additional $5 discount coupon to use on a single WarBond Lynx when it releases (As happened with the Hoverquad if you owned a Nomad, or the C8R Pisces if you owned a C8X or a Carrack).

I'm also after one of those LTI CCU's... I figured if M4cex didn't get a responce, it wasn't worth cluttering the forum\discord with what is essentially a duplicate request (Although a related Ursa to Ursa Fortuna CCU is also on my wants list as well).

I really hope my Origin G12 gets to driveable before the Lynx comes out or it might just end up becoming a CCU'd Lynx rather then a G12 and a Lynx :-/

Actually, that's happened to me a tonne. The ships I have that are flyable generally remain. The ones I have in concept generally get CCU'd. They'd have made a bunch more out of me if more of my concepts were not concepts as I do tend to get attached to these things after I've driven/flown them :-D

It sounds like you're going to be sacrificing a G12 in the (near) future then... The lynx is on the release view for 3.19 (Currently it's the only ship listed there, although the HULL-C and SRV are also likely to arrive around that time), while the G12 has yet to have work on it begin.

Of course, you could always acquire a 600i Explorer to get a "free" bundled G12 which you can't upgrade... Although with the size of the reworked vehicle bay on the rework concept for the ship, you might want to grab a different vehicle still.

A couple things you missed are the livery are changed on the ships internals which doesn't come with normal paint jobs. I'm not sure if that's the same for the other ships in the pack but for the constellation it is.(I got mine on original concept)

OOOHH, Ok that's clever, and I honestly never would have guess that would have worked either! Probably knowledge too late for me now, any of those old CCUs that I had have long been applied, gifted, or melted, and I doubt any more will be coming along, but if they DO at least I'll be in the know now! Kudos to you @vahadar and any of you other clever Testies for figuring out this little 'trick' and enlightening us!

Well, since I had the credit, I went ahead and grabbed the Fortuna Pack. I figure if I can find another Testie willing to sell me their Nomad LTI CCU, I'll keep the pack and apply the LTI to it. If not, I'll just melt it into the buyback queue and get my 10yr. Phoenix back out. Can't really lose either way, right?

I just used the luck of Fortuna to do a bit of digging through my CCUs in my account hangar (not buyback) to learn that I'm a CCU link or 2 away from adding each of 5 vehicles, which is the good news. The unfortunate news is that most of them, then gaps will either need to wait until either ILW or IAE to fill in. However, by the end of this year, there's a chance that I'll be gaining in all 3 Zeus ships, an M2 and a Galaxy to my fleet, all with that shiny LTI. LoL Woot! With any luck, I'm hoping that CIG will be offering the CCUs I need with WB discounts. May the Fortuna be with us all!
