The Fury should be a detachable turret for the 400i

The problem with using one of those as a turret is that the "turret gunner" is locked in the turret and unable to access the rest of the ship.

The use of the X1 shelf for it, though, is a nice idea - I wonder if one day MIRAI (or MISC) will get a carrier consisting of a long "tube" (like the Caterpillar) with multiple bays designed for Fury's (and possibly ground vehicles like the Ursa) that drop down from it (or rise, like the hangar in the 890) to allow deployment while also permitting the crew to walk around the ship when the Fury isn't needed.

Now that's imaginative!
My original thought had been that they landed "top down", with the nose of the Fury pointed towards the centre of the landing "ring"\body of the Endeavor, but if there was gravity added to the inside of the ring, this could be altered so the Fury's docked from the sides (pointing towards the front or rear of the Endeavor) to allow double the number... Or remove Gravity from the ring and you could combine both options and have 3 times as many Fury's as I had originally thought could land like that.

Then there's the possibility of having 2 of these "rings" (front and rear connection points) with the "crew facilities" module between them...

Why would you want a turret instead of an escort? Seems the escort is much harder to hit. Much less useful though if it can't fit into the 400i cargo bay, and I don't think it does. That bay has been too small for all sorts of things, all to fit escape pods no one wants. That is the most notorious of the "FUBAR by design" features of the 400i. There is actually enough room to lift the ship a meter and open the cargo space to make it useful--just get rid of the idiot pods.
