Sticky vs Normal threads

Hi,

I just noticed we now have a classification between Sticky and "Normal" threads.

While this is a vast improvement on the old system where you couldn't really tell which were stickied and were easy to overlook, I find the term "Normal" to be a gross slur on the excellent caliber of threads TESTies produce on a daily basis.

I don't really think it is a gross slur. In the context of this forum, it means "regular TEST Squadron caliber which may include some drunken ramblings... so beware...". The word "normal" is just a shorthand way to say that in TEST.

I suppose it could be changed to "Special", but that has some context issues that "Normal" avoids.

It's an updated version. Earlier only normal threads are allowed but now both sticky and normal threads are allowed to post.

Ahh, but it would cost them money to use... it won't be a thing until a LLM becomes locally based, shouldn't be too long, and at that point no one will be able to use the internet to talk to each other publicly like this as it'll all be spambots chatting to each other - biological will go back to speaking to each other face to face.
