Burn out happens.. even in Evocati it's acceptable and necessary to take a break. I logged in for IAE, rented something from one of the halls and went to take it for a spin. Immediately and catastrophically discovered that the joystick bindings have been changed yet again.

I logged out and got on with life.

LOL

I go through the "my throttle is reversed!" intelligence challenge every few patches. I then need to go find the reddit post that explain how to unfuck that. Every time.

Here's a TEST brand solution for that: Turn your throttle 180 so it's backwards. I know it won't be as simple as that, but simple is as simple does eh?

If you're ever wanting to see someone, ireland is the bees knees, €20 Ryan air flights. Craic is good. Dublin itself is expensive but someone's floor is usually free.
Ah! Ireland!
I remember driving off the ferry back in 1998 and seeing grand banners stating "Bienvenue Tour de France" in red, white and blue!
I was wondering if I had taken the wrong ferry. Turns out it actually was the Tour de France paying a visit to the emerald island.
I wonder how they dealt with right-hand driving. I know I suck at it for the first couple of hours.
But going to Ireland to listen to some music? That's actually quite a basic idea, right?
Owls to Athens, Music to Ireland. That kinda stuff.
Might take a spin past Kerry while I'm at it. Head up to the cliffs from there. I had promised to revisit "Craggy Island" B&B anyhow.
Besides, wasting money on holidays doesn't hurt as much as blowing it IRL.
I likey... :-P

Cough, cough... err , not that I was old enough to remember those...

If I got one beef with that period in time then it's that it ruined an Iron Maiden concert for me.
First the gig did not take place for obvious reasons.
Then, as it DID take place 2 years later my girlfriend caught that stupid virus and I had to tend to her .
Sure , they did tour again and yes, I do buy space JPGs but.... did you see them ticket prices?
And I'm too old and too blind and to deaf to enjoy a show from the far back.
Damn... I think I'm loosing the faith that I'll ever see them Eddie live... :thump:
Humble brag here but I used to work as a concert stagehand and my first ever gig was an Iron Maiden concert. It was their Somewhere Back in Time tour. Anyway I got to chat with some of the roadies and one guy from Lancashire (or was it Yorkshire?) told me he's been touring with them since the very beginning. That guy looked rough, like partied too much in the 70s rough lol. He looked like he can replace anyone on the band (anyone but Bruce) and no one would notice. Dude had the stereotypical aging 'British Rocker who should be baking in Mallorca' look down pat.

I still have the stagehand crew T-shirt though it's pretty worn out these days!

It was their Somewhere Back in Time tour.
Somehow this sounds funny after a couple of decades.
Like "somewhere back in time I was a roadie.."
But damn, I do envie you for that job!
Though I do expect it was tough work.

Fuck me the 90's were lit
Damn straight!
They were.
I think.
It's all kinda hazy in my memories.

I was fortunate enough to see Billy Joel on his River of Dreams Tour and Reba on one of her tours. Both performers were absolutely fantastic.

Recently, I have been able to see Alton Brown on his stage show (it's good, get a ticket and go if you can), took in a Lecture from Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and listened to a concert by Piano Guys (another good performance, but don't expect a huge stage show, they are more about the music than the spectacle) Fluffy (Gabriel Iglesias) is a riot I will be seeing him for a second time at the State Fair this summer. Wished I could have seen Jimmy Buffett before he passed away.

I've pretty much been a CD guy up till now listening to music that was recorded and processed until it gleamed, but I've found the music is better performed live. Like the Grateful Dead recorded concerts, the music just seems more real, flaws and all.
