Shive's been idling and playing chat games in his Twitch and checking credits so it looks like, yes. Your odds of getting in the race are based on how many raffle tickets you buy with Captain Richard credits. Felt like I had a chance when it was the 4 ships but now that some have had an extra week to gain credits and its all Gamma who knows.

For Follower stretch goals, I always do the giveaway the day after reaching said goal. This way, I have time to let people know it's happening via chat, forums, Twitter, etc.
With the multitude of crashes that happened tonight, I hope the hot fix they just implemented gets fixed itself by this Friday. :p

Unfortunately, that is a stipulation of the giveaway. If I didn't require people to be there live, people would bot the shit out of my channel and I'd have hundreds of bogus entries. While botting can still occur, requiring someone to be there to accept the prize lowers the chance of someone botting winning the giveaway.
If you'd like, you can designate a proxy to enter for you. People have done this in the past and actually won. :)

The first ever Captain's Cup Grand Prix took place last night and was an amazing success! Eight racers from around the globe took to the skies in a speed battle for over $200 in prizes live on Twitch. Our grand prize winner was HydroBigBang, who takes home an Origin M50 Racing Package!

This was the first of hopefully many Captain's Cup races and one of the first legitimate racing events in Star Citizen! I hope to continue doing these on a semi-monthly basis to promote the Arena Commander racing experience. Until then, be sure to check out the Southern Cross Alliance's Crux Cup taking place April 25th!
