That may be true, I think they said 90% of people we meet will be npcs. But I do believe cig also said our action would have an impact. we may not make a system go bankrupt but being present and controlling economic centers, especially in fringe systems where there are not supposed to be a lot of people, should do what people are talking about here . . . . maybe, maybe not o_O Also -
Is that possible if we are pirates and we are organized?

Donate your theory crafting powers to the dark side (for the overall good of TEST of course)
-Possibility of affiliate/sub-Org (for general TEST rep pts)
-See any synergy between future divisions and the illegal folks (logistics gives PALS donation to guard a gas giant to corner market prices, we find competing pirates and send juicy target info to the bounty hunters, ect?)
-Varioud types/styles of illegality (blow'm up sort out rekt / demand small amount of cargoUEC / disable & board, drugs, smuggling, ect)
-How to leverage pirate group for overall TEST goals?
(Few posts above outlined some of the things falling under the Umbrella of Illegal our CrimeBrella)

Been looking at the star map. Looks like there are a lot of unclaimed systems between Banu and UEE space, same with Vanduul space, but I don't see much trade happening with them. The Cathcart system between Banu and human space looks interesting, big ice field there as well as a station called Spider??? I think thats the pirate hub. There are also a few interesting systems between UEE and Xi'an space, Nyx, of course, being among them.
Going to have to study the maps to be a better pirate :)

This whole Vega system attack has me so fired up over SC. If this shit was live already I would called into work a day or two just to do some black market scamming on these planets.

Not going the lie, guys; the more I read about how so many people want to make pirating not just difficult, but literally impossible, the more I'm driven to the black flag.

I was never originally going to be a pirate. When I first pledged (with my Cutlass Pirate Pack), I was thinking of being an escort pilot/bounty hunter. Cutlass seemed like a cool fighter that sacrificed some armor and weapons for better maneuverability and a modest cargo bay (but that's a different thread...)
Then I saw all the whiny comments from "carebears" about how the awful pirates were going to ruin everything. The more and more I saw this, from a hopefully vocal minority of Traders/Merchants, the more piracy appealed to me.
Schadenfreude is 75% what I get out of this.

HEY! "I'M" a carebear! ;) I'm trying the "if you can't beat them, join them" approach. Wanting to give piracy a try before I completely write it off. Walk a day in another person's shoes... Frankly, I have a fair bit of optimism, here. Kind of looking forward to new experiences. Who knows? :)

So I mentioned the general themes of TEST & how I'm going to be a space pirate to a co-worker (moar TEST & RPs) they said there was a band called Alestorm...
