Lore on Military Spending

What is alluded to:
-Titan Armor [Confirmed]
-RSI Military Ship (Prototype?)[Upcoming Concept Sale]

If RSI becomes the manufacturer the 'Unnamed Combat Corvette' the design will likely be well balanced / super modular / marysue and less min-maxed-murder-boat .

All the other Corvette sized ships are purpose focused, ideally they have one that is combat focused as well as a 'multi-use' (think Corvette sized Connie).

While this isn't a 'bad' thing, I see CIG repeating the:
-"Saber prototype will be the next standard military ship, filling a gap in ship gameplay styles!"
-[SoonTM] "Ooh wait, what's this... The Anvil Hornet is evolving <duntduntduntdunt> F8 Lightning ZOMG!!! (obtainable in game only... please)"

Also if ConsolidatedOutland ends up making the 'combat-focused combat-corvette' look as much like a Gundam as the mustang I would MeltyMeltMelt all the things and get concierge status for it. Nimble-ish capship with the weapons of an Idris. Soooo good.

Just need something to tide me over till I can pirate captain a Vanduul Void Bomber ;)

I say only Chevrolet can make a decent 'vette, and putting guns on it just to call it a "combat" Corvette completely destroys the styling and even the sporting intent of the car. Now a combat Mustang, that's a horse of a different color.

My only point was that Anvil was not independently in the capital ship business... Unless there's some other lore I'm unaware of that is.

EDIT: And while those 3 you mention (Pegasus, Bengal, Retribution) may be "joint productions", I think I can safely assume they will be branded "RSI" in-game. They are at least for the moment listed that way on CIGs website... I don't think it'll be called the RSI-Aegis-Some Other Company-Yet Another Company Bengal. It'll be the RSI Bengal.

There is a the unanounced anvil destroyer and the rumored battlecruiser and a jump carrier (like a anphibious assault carrier for marines in current time). We dont know any current modern capital ships except retibution which was a leak.

Agreed they are labeled RSI but it might a formality as they were the ones that designed the hull. There was some commenta of how the bengal would have company logos on parts they made on the starfarer g. Its labeled misc because the made a hull but aegis logo would be every where because they refitted it for mil spec . Well actually as I understand it, the Glaive that WE have, as in the one in our hangars and that we can fly, is not Vanduul at all. While it's based on the Vanduul Glaive, the one we have is purely a human production meant to mimic the Vanduul ship, thus Esperia is the one and only manufacturer. Not the Vanduul.

Based off off Anvil's other designs (except the Hornet) I would absolutely love to see Anvil take a whack at the captial ship business. The Carrack has that military-industrial sexiness down.

Aegis had been the dominant contractor since the Tevarin Wars, the Idris which was designed and contracted shortly after the war of Idris IV (for which it is named after) is slowly being phased out of commission. It is an old ship, and while by no means lacklustre, it still cannot compete compared to newer models from competitors, (yet to be seen pocket destroyer and corvette, and also hence the pledges of Idris-M and the simmilar case for the Javelin). The Gladius, is also being decommissioned, being replaced by the Anvil F8-Lighting as the chosen fighter against the Vanduul.
As Aegis is losing contracts to other companies, (Anvil were noted as being the developer of the destroyer, and RSI is likely to be the corvette, due to the replacement of manufacturer of the Idris, that is to say the Idris was formerly conceived as an RSI ship before they changed it to Aegis) particularly with the failure of the bid of the Sabre as the replacement of the Gladius, the company in turn, is slowly decreasing in size and prominence.

Still see RSI most likely because CIG has a Modular 'Everything-ish' ship problem or maybe that is the loud forums demanding that they put a drop ship redeemer module & a Tali torpedo module & all the Endevor Sci modules fit interchangeably in their constellation...

Drake is literally the Minmatar of Star Citizen. MISC is Amarr. Aegis is Caldari and Origin is Gallente.
Anvil is somewhere between Caldari and Amarr.

Going to have to fight you about that Caldari prefer slow, heavy defense, heavy weapons. Aegis prefers more nimble ships hence their Gladius, Saber are very nimble. Caldari is straight up Anvil, lots of shield and lots of weapons.
