All it takes is $5 of store credit... No new money required. And doubtless there have been ships bought in the past that CIG have changed in ways that weren't appreciated (or replaced by better alternatives), which could be used as further "punishment" by being melted.

Don't look at it as "rewarding bad behaviour", but rather "punishing bad behaviour" by removing the ship from your hangar/fleet and replacing it with something better, showing how little value the ship has now.

Be CCU'd to a ship that has a lower MSRP than the hawk :)

If accurate, it appears that we've seen all the paints for the event already (some through a bug on CIG's side were issued incorrectly and will be behind an upcoming "door").

If they are like the bonus coupons some received at Invictus and Foundation Festival this year, the discount is to a single purchase (order/cart), not to a single purchase (item), so multiple small items shouldn't be an issue: The one I had for Invictus was used for a Storm, Lynx, Fury, Fury MX...
