Definitely, that is one thing I am very excited about. To see multiple Orions along with a decent pvp fleet of varying ships as well as maybe a few hauling ships will be quite a sight. It will also be nail biting especially our first few times cause one wrong turn or someone putting too much...

I don't think you can mine anything you have not prospected in regards for the mini game. In regards to the real mining mechanic just as a little anecdote, I think surveying will just give you knowledge of the types of material in the range of the surveyor. I do believe you could mine anywhere...

I agree with Troy, especially if you are not certain about mining, I would keep your ships you have now and try mining out on someones Orion and then buy in game. $325 is a hefty price tag for a ship you are not certain you will enjoy.

I like the idea in general especially the noticing of needed leadership for mining. I know in EvE there would be OPs that would occur for mining but I don't think they were ever taken very seriously as the the PvP fleets were taken...given mining was not even close to the fidelity it will be in...

Unfortunately I've never played ARMA, but of other FPS games I have played this sounds quite emersive! (Other FPS games being COD, Halo 1,2,3, Titanfall, and Ghost)

I really like how they are incorporating the mass, velocity, and energy involved to determine the damage output instead of making it a static number. I may actually enjoy the FPS in this game quite a bit!

So I was watching 10 FTC and while watching, around 11m 24s, he talked about ballistics physics and I found it quite exhilarating hearing how in depth they are going with weapon/ammo physics. I don't want to write a huge post regarding the physics but listen to it and I look forward to hearing...
