Other way around. Mechwarrior is a spin off of BattleTech. The original BattleTech is a tabletop game that was released in 1984.

Ha! My state thinks it's dumb and refuses to play along. We have plenty of daylight anyway, we don't need to save it.

Between this and the new turn based game from Harebrained Schemes it feels like some kind of Battletech / Mechwarrior rennaisance.

Best bet is to wait till its out and see what its really like before you commit. The decision is easier when you are better informed. I'm a bit hyped for it, but experience tells me to wait and see.

It's just some aluminum plate 3/16" thick. I will look into making more of these based on the interest, but it's not my machine so i can't guarantee anything.
