I don't have an MPUV, so I had no idea how large or small they truly were. They simply looked rather tall for a smaller ship due to their boxes. So I'm grateful that they will fit nicely for emergency situations.
With them being able to hold even larger craft like those you have mentioned...

If you are planning on upgrading a LTI Archimedes to either ship, I would recommend you choose the Phoenix as the Archimedes also comes with the Phoenix & shares its insurance. So you would still be keeping the Archimedes as LTI as well.
Presently, I plan on enjoying my Vanguard Hoplite as I fly around with friends (usually TEST members) to go run missions together with many of them hanging out in the drop ship area to start the mission & I'll fly air cover as best I can.
Unless I'm mistaken, there are ships which come equipped with the MPUVs. I could have sworn that those are the Idris & Javelin lines. I tried to confirm a moment ago, but unfortunately when CIG changed up the ship matrix, they chose to delete all of the listed vehicles that come with those...
