    890 Jump Scheduled for 3.5

This might make some folks happy. The Origin 890 Jump is scheduled for alpha 3.5, at the end of Q1 2019, so about 11 months from now. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/roadmap/board/1-Star-Citizen and scroll to the right to show the last column if you have to.

Day 3 away from my PC

More times than I want to count. @Stevetank : The old power supply is probably reparable by the way, if you want a spare. The most common failure is one of the filter caps in the rectifying circuit. Sometimes they blow up, sometimes they just turn into a volcano and smell like burnt...

Got a bit fed up with the Live Build so went to the PTU version

FWIW, the latest build in PTU is having some issues. There's a "line" at Levski, because it reports the pads are full, the elevators aren't working, and people are randomly logging in there. I know of one other Testie who was stuck there today. People are mostly making the most of it though...

    Mystery member???

Problem is he's got the same issue you do. Who's in test squadron? We need a way to tell in-game, or go around being always polite just because you can't tell. Only solution we have right now is Discord, but some people can't use SC and Discord at the same time right now.

    PTU 3.1.3 Up

Build version in the PTU at this moment is 746531. it is highly suspect of containing an issue or two, I hope it is very short lived. Other than I woke up in the same hab as someone else... on Levski and not Port Olisar, and couldn't rez ships.

    Advice for a noob please

I figure don't worry too much about your hangers. All you can do in them is gawk at your ships, and they look much better in space, than in a hanger. You can always buy a ship that gives you the VFG hanger later. This is basically what I would say too. What you want to do in the game...

So am I in? Guys?... guys?

What about Beer? Welcome to Test @Spacer-Steve !!! Pretty sure you'll fit right in. I also remember Pong, but it was pay to play. That, and Asteroids at the local bar.

    PTU 3.1.3 Up

GREAT!!!! It has crashed for me, there are few groups going around trying to instigate big "parties", which is really just combat, crashing a fully loaded Caterpillar into an asteroid, stuff like that. They've caused a few crashes. I'm not worried about it, because they're trying to get CIG...

    PTU 3.1.3 Up

That doesn't look like the right version of the delta patcher for PTU. It should be V 1.0.1-ptu4 But 3.1.3 whatever build they put up today is running as smooth as a Sleeman's Cream Ale. FPS didn't drop below 38, i played for 3 hours, went all over the place in multiple ships. spent a total...

I uncovered the true purpose of TEST

You know that you can tell a man thinking about the future. He's the guy who bought two cases of beer. But in my experience, you can insert beer, and/or bacon into almost every conversation. No research required.

New Build - Retiring my old Aurora

So, I have few friends who are overclockers, no direct experience myself. Three of them talked to me about delidding the 8700K when I asked. All 3 were successful. They disagreed somewhat on the benefit, but the most experienced guy runs his CPU at 5.1 GHz. He also claims he has 3 titan...

New Build - Retiring my old Aurora

Since you're doing software development and running VM hypervisors, here's something I have, just to back up my work automagically, but it also synchronizes any number of disks autonomously. This solution is incredibly cheap: Like including software and external disk, you could do it for under...

New Build - Retiring my old Aurora

I like it. And you chose the I7-8700K for the same reason I did. I think you're right, the SSD is going to be important for a lot more things than just SC. In the software development world, we've all but totally stopped thinking about disks and "how long do you figure all those seeks are...

    Thinking about geting a joystick

Trend developing. I use the Thrustmaster T16000M too. There are others, but I don't think anything meets the Thrustmaster price/performance.

... So, latest intel is that the admins are away. Post silly things while we can get away with it!

We need a better way to tell who's online. I often discover I've been in the same SC instance as other Testies after the fact.

... Hmm... "coincidentally" someone said that in a SC instance I was in about an hour ago.

I am busy, AND I'm actually drinking a beer right now too. It's a Sam Adams, cuz I can't find any Swiss amber anywhere around here.

Ignore this message.. it has nothing of any interest what soever

Welcome to Test Squadron @Tootiecornet4! Me too eh. Sigh. And it cost only 25 cents, but you usually had to buy a beer eh, that part wasn't bad tho.

    EM, IR Ratings

so checked... in SC, they measure EM, IR and HEAT. Not entirely sure what the separation between IR and Heat is. Like I said, they'll implement for the game mechanic they want, not the definitions.
