Welcome to Test, and to the game! HOSAS is better for space sims. I’ve tried both, extensively. Flight controls can be expensive but you can definitely start with something relatively cheap while you figure out if this is for you long term. 🍻- Raven_King

I'd vote against HOTAS for two reasons. 1. You need to be able to use all six degrees of freedom (forward/backward, left/right, up/down, pitch, yaw, roll) equally easily. Question: what are the best solo ships for PvE, which you can buy in game for aUEC in the current 3.16?
My limited experience with crimestat supports this. At least, I never saw mine decrease, and I probably spent a couple of hours here and there with a level 1-3 crimestat trying to get cryptokeys and taking them to Security Outpost Kareah and trying to remove it that way.
