These are two very different ships. One is a really good anti fighter screen, the other a decent attack platform that operations can be based around. It depends what you want, both fill combat roles very very well but are expensive to run and have large crew requirements.

But... who doesn't love a good preemptive war of annihilation? I just need to see the Horde redeem themselves, so far the plot has been a shitshow with my faction getting the dick end of it. #Sylvanasdidnothingwrong

My big issue is how obscure they have made the overall plot and reasoning behind things. But oh well, hopefully this improves.
