Welcome to TEST @Epilogue!!! I tend to agree about Texas, but it's not perfect. Water is not supposed to be lime green. Just saying. And it's missing something, elsewhere we call it "hills". And don't give me that "hill country" thing, that's not what I mean. Those aren't hills, they're...
Sure you can do this. I do every time there is a power failure. But there is a caveat. You're going to be dependent on the wireless ISP, which is likely 4g or 5g. Those are expensive networks, and once you reach a certain threshold, they will most often throttle your connection. Unlimited...
Welcome to TEST @FeaturedSpace !!!
Just by the way... last time I was in your neck of the woods was 2006 ish. I was working mostly in Charlotte for a month, and I got lost trying to get from Charlotte to Bessemer City. Found myself in SC instead. On the way back I got hungry, and stopped at...
I don't think you do it that way in SC. That's for games that are completely sandboxes, with 100% user created content. You get a lot of junk that way, with a few gems in it though - but mostly junk. It can be fun, but I don't think SC needs this model.
What they could use is a land...

Note. the last item which is real (2.5 million for 25,000 parcels of virtual real-estate) is a transaction by Anshe Chung (an Avatar name). Anshe is the first real world millionaire based on income from gaming activities...
That is your client, not the network or the Reclaimer itself that causes that. It's not part of network bind culling, which is why I'm kind of worried about the pushback that's going to happen when network bind culling is implemented, and no immediate performance gains are available from it...
@CrudeSasquatch ... you seem to have something affecting your eye. There's a cure for that. Close your eyes tight, hold your breath and chug a pint of Moosehead*. If that doesn't work, chug another. Repeat until your eye stops doing that.
* Anything but a President's Choice Beer can work...
Just to put some things to bed. Insert the standard "I am not a lawyer" disclaimer here. I just happen to have a lot of IP experience.
TLDR; Summary: Basically this passes most tests for fair use - but there is a potential catch, last paragraph.
You don't copyright or patent a logo...
lol. That would insinuate you'd have to pay for it. You don't. But no. You can get involved in activities that might attract the interest the tax-man, or could land your rear end in federal prison.
I am totally not surprised.
There are a number of games with virtual economies, and have described some of this in TEST's forums. People can pooh pooh the idea if they want, but this is a real way to make money, for at least the last 15 years.
I have a few friends who have had incomes well...
I think those, and the tracker @Bambooza mentioned, but also the Prospector should have scanning, that's the ship they demo'd in the video. Some others that aren't in the game yet, like the Freelancer Dur, and who knows what else.
Pretty much what i was looking at, along with game play tasks.
They need to be up front about what is not going to be ready. That would take a lot of the heat off.
Also, they apparently just assigned a bunch of developers to 3.2 tasks. I think that was a comment in one of the recent videos...
