    Thoughts on the Valkyrie?

Missiles are not very useful for suppression fire. :) Rovers are cheap. Probably an in game purchase.

    Trade in my Avenger titan

I was under the Impression that the Base maneuvered better, was faster and carried the same gun mounts as the MIS. The only difference was the quantity of missiles and quantity of cargo, well and price. Do I have that wrong? For combat, you still have the Avenger.

    Trade in my Avenger titan

My advice is going to run counter to what others are telling you. Keep the Avenger, because it is a solid ship and a decent fighter. Don't get the Cutlass because it does nothing well and is in that awkward place trying to do too much. Spend a couple of extra bucks and get a Freelancer to go...

    Thoughts on the Valkyrie?

The Avenger weapons are one Size 4 and 2 Size 3 and is really agile and fast. Further it should be able to run Mil Spec, where the Drake ships aren't supposed to. More importantly, I think the Cutlass is ugly and the implication is it will be relatively short ranged. The Avenger is my short...

    Thoughts on the Valkyrie?

It has 5 beds and a crew of 5. Door guns are for use by the Marines. (Makes sense since with 6 man squads, 20 doesn't quite make a platoon, but 22 does.) I have no interest in a Cutlass Blue. It is not a serious upgrade from my Avenger. If you want a Serious bounty hunting ship, there is the...

    Thoughts on the Valkyrie?

1 medium computer equals 4 blades. The comment on slaving all 4 turrets to the pilot was just an observation, not an intended practise. :) With all those guns there would be enough rounds flying to walk from the Valkyrie to the target. :) Would you say accelleration and maneuverability is...

    Thoughts on the Valkyrie?

I am looking for information on the Valkyrie. :) Please, for those with a Valkyrie, what are your thoughts on it: Good ship? Fun to fly? What kind of range does it have? What is a good comparison ship for maneuverability?

    Thoughts on the Valkyrie?

I have an Avenger, so I have no need for the Hawk. My better half also has an Avenger. The Cutlass still doesn't impress me, I don't see it as a serious upgrade to the Avenger and the hints are that the range is limited. Stasis modules should be available for my Retaliator, eventually...

    Thoughts on the Valkyrie?

This is Test Squadron, isn't it? I should have at least a partial crew without the Org. LOL. Other than a Freelancer Max, what, in this size range carries a Cyclone or a Rover? For smaller I have an Avenger. :)

    Thoughts on the Valkyrie?

According to the Hammerhead Q&A a Medium computer can have 4 blades, each one controls one turret. I am not interested in the Cat, it doesn't suit me at all.

    Thoughts on the Valkyrie?

My plan is to hit the Verse with 4 ships and one or two ground vehicles. Probably a jetbike and a Cyclone (TR or base) I currently am planning on Bounty Hunting, (Killjoy style, not Boba Fett for reference :) ). For those with a Valkyrie, what are your thoughts on it? Good ship? Fun to fly...

Predicting the future of ship to ship combat

View: https://youtu.be/X-rkFaIPyL4 I always considering forcing a diversion for repair, forcing a delay in the mission, or similar, a mission kill. Semantics. or some antics. :)

Predicting the future of ship to ship combat

You know, the more I think about it, from most Sci-Fi epic battles, Star Citizen time to kill is way to high. Granted flying in one of those movies and getting taken out that quickly with permadeath is a bit brutal, but seems incredibly realistic.

Predicting the future of ship to ship combat

The Falcon was mission killed in all of the movies, usually with very little damage, some with no damage at all. Neither Death Star took anything but superficial damage until it exploded. The team on the ground took down a shield that, while protecting the Death Star, was not the Death...

Predicting the future of ship to ship combat

sorry, partial post I thought I deleted. :) The Falcon was difficult to hit, not necessarily difficult to kill, once hit. Two torps from a fighter, killed the Death Star. One fighter and lightly armed freighter killed the second, bigger, death star. Star Wars is, if anything, about the...

Predicting the future of ship to ship combat

Chris Roberts wants Star Wars style dogfighting. To that end physics will be ignored.
