Crytek vs CIG lawsuit: Motion to dismiss granted!

In a nutshell, Crytek still has one or two claims they could pursue (like the Bugsmashers code) that probably have little chance of succeeding...BUT...will take more legal back and forth, cost time and effort, and "little chance of succeeding" does not mean 0%. I'm predicting that both sides...

    Angry Joe on Atlas

To me, the most disturbing part of all this "merch" stuff is the level that Bethesda is willing to monetize game ideas, without understanding the level of devotion (fanaticism?) that a lot of gamers have for the game. It is almost like all the true gamers in the corporate structure have left...

    Angry Joe on Atlas

Since I haven't played a single second of Atlas, I feel as qualified as any YouTuber to give my opinion... It seems like people are saying the game is fun, as long as you aren't bothered by the fact that some/most/all the assets were originally supposed to be in Ark (which you may or may not...

Crytek vs CIG lawsuit: Motion to dismiss granted!

Great, saved me asking again...at least, until January 17th. (...hmmm, since they asked for an extension, it seems likely they are going to file something/amend their complaint *again*. I'm gonna stock up on popcorn...)

    2018 SC highlights?

I thought this was a great recap on the year --> the first ATV of 2018, where they reviewed what it took to release 3.0! Bonus...you get almost 30 minutes of Tony Z. talking about past stuff and what's coming in the future: View: https://youtu.be/unCiwKdT76M?t=96

Webcams are hot again (?) - Microsoft rumored to release new webcams in 2019

Just saw this article a couple of days ago. Seems weird to me, there has be no movement on webcams for about 5 years, now all of a sudden they seem to be a hot item again. At least we should have more quality choices for FOIP, and hopefully lower prices (so I can buy more ships, of course!)...

Can't wait for 3.5! Arccorp and the new flight model!

If you know a good way to generate power from salt, then 3.5 is gonna make you a jillion-aire! You make a great point, the people who want to dogfight like a WW2 sim will love atmospheric flight & dogfighting there, I'm hoping that dogfighting in space is different (but NOT jousting).

Atlas a port of Ark with Ark menus etc still in the game xD

It's not so much lag as a game mechanic designed to allow for large scale battles to exist incorporate the lag. FTFY I mean, it is smart, but, that is the only way they can allow for larger battles.

Best way to increase your UEC by game release

I have to admit I never thought of this before. The #1 potential fatal flaw could be that if you sell a ship in-game, you only get a fraction of the value (typically in RPG's, you only get about 1/4 back of the cost when new). I suspect CIG isn't going to give you top dollar, I mean, top UEC...
