I believe it takes place after 2, but before 3, so those guys narrowly missed the reapers wiping out most of the galaxy.

The combat is fun, I didn't mind the story, I just thought it wasn't quite up to Bioware standards. Short explanation I believe is, they tried to squeeze it out to fast on the heels of the ME3 controversy in an effort to salvage the universe and it showed.

Mechwarrior 5, Outer Worlds and Anthem, SC patches are just part of my default anticipations.

Some games are going to have a rough start. Imagine the magnifying glass that SC is going to be under at time of launch, heck pile SQ42 in on that as well, even the slightest hiccups will explode into major internet rage.
