Even with the last two hot fixes elevator access has been sporadic. At this point it feels like when you get on a freshly rebooted server things are great but at some point everything breaks from elevators to mission beacons and hostile npcs.

So it seems a ship left docked when you log out for the night has a high priority of being destroyed. That the best place for persistent is in space/ landed or in your hangar.
