Upvoted and I agree this is a bad system to implement. I get it it, the eating system gives a boost to various things in game but it should be an optional choice. Think about a new player, they will come in, be lost in the game, have little to no credits but they buy things such as hand mining...

Generally as a rule of thumb for people in purchasing/selling ships within the Org, we normally try to have people who have been members for a while or are at least a bit active on the forums first to get to know them before trading.

I'd love to know where the idea that a rover can mine came from or any info on it has been posted. As Grimbli has already said, yes they want Quantanium (whatever way it's spelled) to be in space. It's still going to work much like how it was originally thought of as a hard resource to collect...
