I'm just going to buy the base and probably upgrade it later in game using UEC. Even the base model is pretty awesome.

See, this is what appeals to me. I hate the thought of being completely defenseless out on my own. I want to be able to transfer "acquired" materials out of lawless space, etc. and not worry about getting ambushed.
