Florence has been downgraded to a Cat 2 but it is still huge and going to bring a lot of rain and storm surge. Flooding is now the primary concern. Outer bands should be hitting the Carolinas today.

Reading the Q&A makes me glad I got my Mercury. It seems like it'll be a great ship overall. I think they made the interior more useable and liveable tbh than in a ship like a Constellation which looking at it now seems boring as hell.

I've only seen this talked about on some small youtube channels but there are 10 nuclear power plants in the general area this storm is going to hit. If the coolant pumps fail for whatever reason due to the storm then its Fukushima in the US. YAY!

One model I've seen is that the hurricane straddles land and sea and just stays stationary for several days like Hurricane Harvey did for 3 days over Houston resulting in massive floods and damage.
