Thank you. I had a particularly good fragment last night that was 22% laranite or something with other minerals that needed to be broken down more and just could not crack it because the green zone was razor thin and the rock was over 2.0 instability so the energy is going up and down faster...

The new Avenger Titan is a good all around ship. Good cargo space, good speed etc. You might want to give it another try. As other have said it got a massive rework and upgrade in 3.2.

Some rocks I was able to mine, but never sell because of crashes and upon recovery the ship not registering as landed if I was even able to get to Olisar afterwards:
