That hasn't actually worked, for me. It says it's not going to do it, but it still uninstalls them.

AFAIK, yeah. Once 3.0 goes live, they'll probably use it for both again.

I just re-downloaded 2.6 into a separate folder. Now it works fine. Every few updates, it deletes 2.6 again, but if you don't mind downloading it again, it shouldn't be an issue.

Basically you fly a dreadnought around and broadside things. It's one of those games where it's vastly more satisfying to play it with a controller instead of mouse/keyboard. Best comparison I have is it's like Sid Meier's Pirates, but in space. And less pirate-y. And with less stuff to do. So...
