I figure the Beerfarer would be more like a variant on it's own, like the Gemini, except instead of militarized, it's beerified.

Since the starfarer has a nice bit of space in the cargo hold, they should make a module that puts a bar in. That way, you can make the beer and sell it, which'll massively increase your profit margin. Also, you'd have a bar. :) I know this thread is called 'Beerfarer', but I feel like...

I can't find anything official as far as CCU goes. My money is on it still being available for the sale ships (literally :) ), but they haven't said either way. If you really want confirmation, just open a support ticket. They're usually pretty good about replying.
