This is pretty much what I just built with a few recycled parts from the PC I was using up until Monday. I'll be waiting on graphics until launch since I'm able to play at an okay framerate right now with high settings.

Yeah he's been looking into the Pros more. He doesn't give a crap about gaming anymore and just wants a tablet that can be used as a computer when he needs it. Plus he's kind of simplified his life and wants less clutter.

My friend keeps saying he's going to replace his gaming PC with a Surface and each time says he's going wait and see what the next version will offer. I think it's a pretty slick solution if you have a dock and no need for a gaming PC.

I'm interested I was just waiting for more to post. Do you have a time frame and as for it being a one day event will it be something like Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon? I'm not sure on the price issue yet. I'd be driving 8 hours already so hopefully not more than $25 to $35.
