    Sorry, I should've clarified. I'm actually decent at the Wargames and BTB modes, but standard 4v4 Arena and Slayer (where there are no vehicles or different weapon configs) are a different story. I play extremely inconsistently and end up on the bottom of the scoreboard more often than not.

    Boost makes your thrusters have more thrust. So if you're about to crash into a space rock you could boost and brake and your ship will stop faster. Turning also gets a boost when you use boost. In lore, boost adds something into your fuel so you have bigger thrust all around. Afterburner is...
