I was a huge fan of X3. Many hours logged into base, Terran Conflict, and Albion Prelude. However what we were shown in the teaser looked like garbage. They should really reconsider the whole idea of "walking around" if it is going to paint a world that looks flat and uninspired.

I'm not very good with combat but I'd love to watch. I've done/am doing trophies for some of the community event tournaments. If something big gets off the ground, I'd be happy to donate something for the winner(s).

I think a base building ship is the strongest theory in my opinion. CIG has talked up its outpost tech a bunch on ATV including how they procedural blend items with the terrain. Would make sense that if the system was robust enough they could hand over building placement and generation to players.
