IDK about flak weapons (I sure hope so, that would be awesome. AoE burst but lower damage sounds radical) but if they make a S4 pyroburst that would be hilarious. Just see 32 plasma shotguns blowing everything to bits without even aiming.

I've personally never had much luck with them. Allegedly they actually shut down systems properly in 3.0, but previously it would just strip shields, and with the low ROF I had trouble in my buggy slidy POS 2.6 Cutlass keeping the targets in front of me, and even then having half my "firepower"...

I'm debating getting one as an upgrade for my Herald. Extra 5 bucks, but I like the combo of light fighter/ECM pods. Seems like a nice hybrid between an Avenger Warlock and a Gladius, gonna wait to see how the Q/As look before I bite the bullet however.
