I've had issues where I've died in the bunker, resurrect into my Pisces and the mission cancelled recently, it allows me to go in and pillage the bunker without getting shot by the remaining enemies.

I prefer control thru team communication, and allowing me to pilot the ship and others to concentrate on keeping us alive in their tasks. In the case of the Corsair, I believe control of the turret guns should get removed from the pilot and managed by a turret gunner, just as in the case of the Cutty, the pilot does not have control of the turret and same should apply to the SH.
