clever CIG, they distracted us with the SQ42 livestream so we wouldn't complain about lateness, bugginess, etc

Spent time on the Live Servers. My experience for about 45 mins of game play.

Some of the animations are still clunky, when getting out of the bunk is almost cringe worthy to watch.

FPS was constant for the most part whether on Crusader or out in my Cutlass: 17-22 FPS, even during 3 dogfights. Testies would be proud, went 2-1 and lost my last one cuz it was 2v1 with one being a Cutlass Black.

Have been unable to complete a single mission so far, not even mundane milk runs - always an issue with MobiGlas or StarMap that ends with the Bad Token error - lots of occurrences in Issue Council already - feeling salty, I am FINALLY getting playable FPS (haven't been to GrimHex or Levski yet) and I can't earn monies to buy moar things and stuff, like fuel, food, armor and guns, and shirts, and that cool leather duster at GrimHex.

Boo hoo.

Back to try again!

So, they pushed it to live just because festivus?

Idk, I feel like it would've been smarter to leave it in final wave PTU till it's ready, we'd still all have access to it, and those accessing it would in theory have to acknowledge that it's a test. Besides, how long was the final wave this time anyways, a day or two? That's just pointless.

It feels like it. Then they went on vacation until January 8th(?), which might be a problem if a few issues don't get fixed lickety split like.

During a cargo run, I encountered a server issue (30007 error) which resulted in having to reclaim a ship, and swallow the loss of the cargo, and the UEC invested in it. They're going to need to fix this. But maybe there's something they need to fix first:

Here's a shot of the path from Port Olisar to Delamar. It's like that for the whole way. You couldn't actually fly anywhere when I took this shot. Not quickly anyway. Forget Quantum drive.

This is Port Olisar right after. It's about to be crushed by Mount Everest's twin it looks like. There are 38 ships around Port Olisar, many not in the shot, because it's a partial screenshot, but this is not photo-shopped. There were even reports of a portion of Port Olisar being inside an asteroid on another server.

This is probably due to a simple setting somewhere, but it was experienced by everyone simultaneously, so it wasn't just a client issue. Some people had collisions with the asteroids too. They rezzed right in front of you sometimes, which is Ok if you're traveling slowly but if you're at SCM or AB, you're done for.

It's a Christmas miracle!

Sucks that it's buggy, but ill download it anyways since they now have a much more fragmented download system, right?

It's not really buggy... so much as quirky. It does need polish that's for sure, but almost everything works. Port Olisar doors excepted, but you can usually get out another door, and walk around the strut to your ship.

Once you download and install the client once, after that every so often it'll download patches for you, instead of having to download everything. That saves a big headache. It can be a little problematic too, but if you have many issues, just delete the user folder and try again. Any mappings or settings you've made will need to be replaced after you do that. Like above - the delta patcher needs a bit of polish too.
