350 R can i make it a as good fighter as Sabre or SH ? if i whould put new parts that are already in game to it?
and for Racing is a small M50 better as a 350 R and should i sell the M50 and get a 350R?

I have a Constallation Aquilla , Freelancer MIS , M50, Super Hornet and Sabre.

How fast might the Information Runner be had one could by it back. But will the Info Runner race out a M50 in Racing mode.

Edit: Got the Update from M50 to 350 R but dont used it yet.

Sabre has 1 Gun more and higher Class too
SH has some Guns with Higher Class or/and 3 Guns more

But the 350 R is even faster then the fast Sabre.

And whats the better Racer the a bit faster 350 R that is bigger or the M50?

well, I am a 325a pilot and i own a sabre (haven't flown it much yet), and you should be able to get the 350 to work well as a fighter. The biggest trick when it comes to weapons is not so much the quantity but how effective they are and how much they line up with each other while shooting. The 300 series can easily outmatch a hornet if you keep moving and rotating around them, but against a sabre i dont know. (I only updated to the update with the sabre earlier this week)

umm if your a AMAZING at shooting people in the cockpit bullseye like, take the 350R and just do that, but you won't be able to do much other, and have very little power to stay on someones 6 if they try and maneuver or go decoupled.

What I've seen Hav0k do is just decouple and turn around when infront of you once he has you chasing him, and shoot you in the head. It's very easy to aim when your target is chasing you, but your facing them.. it's just a dot that doesn't move. You only get a few seconds though.

IMO, the Blade shall be able to do this as well as the Scout. The only issue then is the range of the weapons they use. Ballistics are slow and trail if not going in a straight line, but lasers which are great at shields and not so much against armor or afterwards shoot/hit almost instantly.

Right now the 350R is garbage to be completely frank :)

It's very heavy, hard to control and you blackout easily. The high top speed would make it good for zoom-n-boom, however it's small armaments makes it not so.

It has one strength; you can capture anyone, and you can flee from anyone, killing someone however, wouldn't rly happen.

Has another big difference compared to the Sabre, which is its signature. It has a MASSIVE signature, well, not right now as they pulled out the engines...and they have it fly on magic, but, before they took them out due to being simply too outdated and bugged, you would see it go twice as hot as a super hornet, reaching over 1k in heat signature easily.

I bought it originally to use it for fighting, but they've nerfed it pretty darn hard over time :o so don't think they'll ever let it shine again.

OK so i can forget to fight with a 350 R at the moment and should use SH or Sabre for this ok got this

now to Racing ... M50 or Update to 350R

other uses of 350R might be Transportation for small important stuff thats need to be transported fast from A to B and you simply could out run Pirates that try to stop you right ?

so i changed the Treat Theme now to 350R vs M50 ... Racing ...

Although I have only rented both for a short time, I prefer the M50 for Racing. I find it easier to race it at the moment with less blackout and more controll.

The main reason I would stay with the M50 is that ship is mostly where it's supposed to be, it works as a pure racer, and probably won't get changed that much in the future. On the other hand, the 300 series is getting a re-work, so you might loose all the cargo space and maybe even guns on the 350R variant in the name of "lightweight racer". Ofc they can turn this upside down as well, giving it cargo space and even some heavier gun options to make it a practical multirole ship. So I have no idea really what will happen, that's why I would stay with the M50 for racing.

My nonsense car analogies #433: As far as I can see, the M50 is like an F1 car, it should never have a boot for your shopping, or an aircon or other luxuries. But, as the 300 series is supposed to be a BMW, it could go the way of a fully stripped out M3 CSL for track days, or become an M3 wagon with great speed and handling but also a boot space and leather, and a lot of practicality still left in it.

I agree with this statement. It was said initially the 350R is already tuned and using the best it's got, aside from maybe some extra tuning, but the M50 also is only STOCK and NOT YET FULLY TUNED, like you would have to do that yourself.

I see you have an Aquilla, have you tried racing in that Merlin it carries? Another option for racing and another ship you already have :)

Please note - The ships are only the way they are right now because the game hasn't actually been finished yet. As has been noted in this thread the 350R used to be the cats pyjamas in earlier versions of the Alpha, but it has had its claws snipped a bit. It could get better it could get worse and so can the M50 - In fact I expect the M50 to change once the Archimedes '72 is flyable because the power to thrust balance is going to have to be examined, the '72 is going to be a lot lighter and have s3 engines so may well be comparable thrust (on paper at the moment, anyway) so with your Aquilla to carry a '72 it should be a good option for racing.

Talking of the Aquilla, have you tried racing in that Merlin it carries? Another option and another ship you already have :) The Merlin does not get a boost recharge but the '72 will as it won't have a central gun taking up room in the nose.

So what's the best option right now? Buy all the race ships and choose which is best when the game has finally been finished and goes live - one mans smooth precise racer is another mans slow sluggish waste of time, and another mans responsive on-the-edge craft is another mans twitchy uncontrollable mess so It will be just as much personal preference as which ship is actually "better" when the game is finished. As as also mentioned earlier you will have the option to upgrade engines, thrusters, avionics etc - a tweaked Merlin may end up being better than a stock M50 for racing for the same amount of in-game credits ;)...
