That's great to hear!

btw, I noticed you didn't mention anything about gameplay? lol
only did one mission and fiddled around with ships....

only thing that didn't work was the mining bags in the cargo elevator that hasen't worked in a long time... :D

Well, I got in, spawned a shi, and the hangar doors wouldn't open...the other ship stuck in the hangar doors was a warning, but, even gunning it I couldn't get out.

Typical CIG Christmas Broke AF patch....

I have had a really great experience flying this morning. Everything just felt so smooth and nice to play with.

Now i just need to find someone to bum a guardian off so i can test it out and see if i should buy it.

i'd say go ahead and install it.
For me it screwed up the tutorial and wouldn't let me resume it.
I'm having a bitch of a time trying to get to my hangar and get my ships organized.

Looks like my F7C is still bugged and I didn't get a response to my Concierge ticket to strip that CCU and get my Sabre back for Christmas.

Your mileage may vary.

Eh, the running was smooth, what I ran into was a never ending stream of bugs tho.

Requesting landing permission at Everus put me into a queue of 6 people. How'd they get queue that long at Everus with all those hangars there and just 500 players spread sort of thin across two star systems is that all the ships were queueing to a single hangar opening. The, what, 15 or so? other hangar openings remained unused. And even then I'm not entirely sure there were 6 people there to begin with, might've gotten a few ghosts in the queue.

Speaking of hangars, I went to A18, requested landing, got a hangar, landed in the hangar... except I didn't, because everything was intangible. Left the hangar, requested another one, got (the same) one, tried to fly into it through the wide open doors (and you already know where this is going) crashed into the empty space above the hangar. Just nothing there, ship blows up and I'm left stranded standing mid-air above the hangar. Got some cool pictures tho.

Mission markers working randomly.

Speaking of screenshots, this happened:

Got a Schrödingers F7A, it was both destroyed and stored at the same time.

The bug about my ship being in my hangar and me being at my hangar without my ship kept happening the whole time too. I thought I'd come up with a clever workaround, and used a sacrificial Anvil Arrow to summon a hangar, and then use the ASOP in the actual hangar to summon the ship I actually want. Well, turns out when I got to the hangar and summoned F7A I wanted to play with, it spawned fused with the Arrow. >_>

Landing services kept bugging out, it'd show you the services briefly before throwing the service instructions at your face even though you're landed and at a hangar. Workaround was to try different tabs and switching to the services to quickly order a service.

Well, that's just to name a few. I'm sure there were more that I just suppressed so that I can have a nightmare or something about them later.

I got to log in finally, right into my hangar for some reason, as it turned out I was one of the lucky ones...
Flew to Pyro jump from Orison in my "now-stock-white" 300i, cos why would the fixed non-swappable customizations we payed for work ofc... (mine is supposed to be yellow with the better leather seat and carbon inlay)

Made the jump after a minute of almost blacking out yo-yoing in the mouth of the jump point as the "activation" was lagging hard. It was a much tighter passage than I thought it would be, I almost wiped out twice cos I misjudged the distance to the "walls".
Coming out the other side for the first time was glorious, not even a microsecond of stutter, everything being visible through the asshole, it was quiet something. I smiled a bit, it was really nice, then remembered the posts about ganking.

Immediately jumped to a random place I could lock on, so as to not get targeted, dropped out of quantum in the middle of nowhere, then chose the nearest large station , can't remember the name. Arrived, spotted someone who was probably sitting around waiting to gank but didn't seem to notice me or care to try and fight me in his mustang... But finally got landing clearance and promptly crashed into the hangar's side as CIG, yet again, fucked around with the button layout for zero logical reason. I must've accidentally pushed Alt twice as I tried to disable cruise control (alt-c), which for some effing reason is now a toggle for decoupled mode too... I truly hate them for this idiotic change.
Anyways, respawned in the hospital on orison and ofc the hangar elevators were dead so I quit. I don't have time for this shitshow right now...

ALL of these issues & more were why I was hoping that CIG would release 4.0 to us backers openly without a Free Fly Event, which would've only made things worse for everybody while making the game look bad to the newbies as well as those interested enough to check it out before backing.

Under 4.0 you log right into your hangar if you don't do the tutorial. This is, apparently, to keep the hab elevator traffic manageable.
