400i Speculation

As many of you know, last year(and this year too) there were/are entries or references to a ship called the 400i. There were also many purported early concept pictures that were posted. My theory there is they were to see what kind of interest the ship would have kinda like how we saw a PTV with a multi-tool a month or so before the ROC was leaked. But thats a different discussion. Anyway! SC Leaks had posted the following based on the files and I guess actual dev leaks but its very interesting.

Coolers: 3x S02 Snowfall

Top Remote Turret: 2x S3 KLWE Laser Repeater
Bottom Remote Turret: 2x S3 KLWE Laser Repeater

Having separate garage and cargo is a nice new addition we haven't seen before and doesn't force the player to choose one or the other. Wish the garage had a ramp though. The fuel scoops comments makes me think this may have the same AIR system the 100 has with its epic hydrogen regeneration. The docking collar seems like it was a "What else can we put on it" thing. If CIG does space allocation good like the 100 and 300 ships then I see this being a VERY good ship to have. There was rumor too that this is a Cutlass/Freelancer comptitor but imo its a Constellation one. Maybe.

tldr: the 400i is the smaller but better MSR!

yeah, its too far removed from what the Origin line up looks like if that is what the ship will be.

In any case, the Corsair will likely be my go-to ship if that one works out.

Funny you say that, the Leaks guys say this will happen with a rework of the interior. I think its needed badly as well.

Well....accordin to the roadmap there is suppose to be several concept ship working on, and we know that march usually host a concept sail... I wont be surpised if it will be the 400 series...
As for the class it will fit in I think the direct competitor of the Conny it's suppose to be the 600i, so something in a range of a Freelancer/Cutty will be a better placement.

Well both variant of the 600i are not THAT bad: the explorer really need some better space definition possibily with a small med bay, while the touring just need to get rid of the reduntant entertainment room in the bottom bridge too accomodate a small hangar for some bikes (and the glass pothole in the lounge... that's terrible...).
Other then eventually some storage here and there for weapons and armor (especially for the explorer variant) the ship is still a good one with little need to readjustment..

And here I am having just had to replace my car. Hope it's Freelancer/Cutty in price as well as size, as that's what I'm getting in scrap value for my old brumbrum.

Size? Probably maybe sligtly longer...
Prize? It's Origin so.... not even a chance... IF specifications are around those leaked/speculated it will be in the price range of the MSR...

I am going to have to disagree with you on this. While the 600 is on the large side of things at this point CIG has been very clear that Med bays are only for capital ships outside of medical bespoke ships. As for the interior its a mess of crew pathways going through vip areas to access ship components. When storage boxes clip through stairs and walls, let alone on the touring version there lacks anyway to get the 1 SCU storage box onto the ship.

I really do like the look of the exterier and I am not selling or melting mine anytime soon but I do not fly it in the verse and so it sits in my hanger.

I agree, so many people were already disappointed with the 600i this would be a slap in the face unless they announce a rework which I think they will, it needs a med bed equal to the cutlass red imo. They want to compare the 600i with the Aquila but this not right, nor does it compare to the Carrack its somewhere in between and needs to reflect that.

Outside of that the ship sounds pretty awesome.
