I saw the "890 Jump Street" heading on the org page and now for a mysterious reason, I must buy at least one. #Weird

I will not be getting one. Its not that I don't find the ship interesting because I really do but I have a Phoenix already and 600 is a bit much for me unless I was going to melt some ships. I plan to purchase other interesting ships for various roles that will be more group oriented such as the Orion. Love me my mining.

Personally, I think Origin and it's overspending fans can go suck it.

I didn't want to agree at first but then I looked at my hangar....

Well you could say I'm into "miners" as well:

But on a serious note, I'll likely keep the Phoenix, and will either keep the Reclaimer or melt it for a HullC or an Orion, depending on which of the three looks the most appealing. Games are supposed to be fun after all, haha!

Designated Drunk and I liken the Phoenix VIP missions to "personal limo driver/pilot for Charlie Sheen and his porn stars" whereas I guess the 890 VIP seems more like "captain of a Carnival Cruise Line." And me, I'm more of a hookers and blow kinda gentleman.

I say RSI should grab as much cash as they can while they can. Good on them for selling $600 ships. Better game experience for me...

I impulse bought one this morning, not sure if I want to keep it or not though. May wind up selling at cost, as with that money I could have bought a nice computer chair and replace my old one.

like I said a glorified M50 :) another seat for whatever purposes...
Supermodel to provide road head, of course. As Walex notes, the 890 simply isn't very scandalous, so the 85x will probably be where all the hanky-panky happens.

I completely understand Major Templars comments. CIG is definitely now marketing to people with deeper pockets. Not too many average Joes would spend $600 for a game. I think they're in a frenzy that can't be stopped. They've figured out that creating more ships and offering LTI makes them a lot of money. So what are they doing?... continuing to create new ships and magically offering LTI again. I wonder when enough will be enough... when they reach $100 million maybe? I myself couldn't stand it and bought an 890 Jump. (I melted a Freelancer MIS and my Ghost and paid the difference). Their marketing strategy is brilliant. They've done a good job at creating a sense of urgency and making one feel like they're getting something special. That's brilliant. I do wish it would stop though. The prices are too high. I actually think they'd make more money if they brought down the ship prices. However these are just my opinions. I know that ultimately I had a choice to not click the Buy Now button.
