I am currently running 40TB of Seagate 7E8 SED HDD's but..... Star Citizen wants SSD's.... so I need an SSD. Preferably enough for SC plus it's updates and my OS. Anyone got a preferred brand?

Do you have all of the Simpsons episodes or something?

NM. Does your computer have an m.2 slot. If so, get one of those, pref a Samsung 960. If you don’t, honestly, most SSDs will work. Crucial and Samsung are two good manufacturers, but there are other good ones as well.

Some of my work files are 20+TB. And nah, unfortunately I don't have an open m.2 slot currently.

I've got hundreds of Sandisk SSD's 128, 256, and 512 and never had a problem with any of them. They're cheap, fast, and reliable. Good middle ground drives.

You also can't really go wrong with Intel ones. Not tried Samsung myself but everyone else loves them.

The Samsung 960's and now 970's are really great & affordable drives. If you don't have an open m.2 slot, you could also put one in on a PCI card, and get not max speed, but definitely faster than any SATA drive. And when you upgrade your rig, just move that puppy out of the PCI card and into your new & open m.2 slot!
