Depends on your location. Istria yes, Dalmatia will take a little bit longer. Luckily they have highways now. My first trip to Dalmatia was with bus and without highways. 21 hours later.....
It took half of the time to get to the border, the other half was traveling over the coastal street, a loooooot of curves.
