Orbital trajectory would not be a problem if we could just point and jump blind like before without a destination, as you could jump over the flat 2D plane the system is build on..
( horizontal orbiting the sun, a flat system like a dinner plate ) As the system is like a flat dinner plate and if you could jump blind without destination.
You could do a blind jump diagonal over or under the system horizontal line toward your target and watch your star map wile traveling to see where you are.
Then exit jump manually when you're close enough to you destination and then set a direct destination link like we do now to the target then jump to it without risk of obstruction.
BUT as we are not allowed to jump blind any more this is not possible, which IMO is one of the dumbest decision they made and that was all so they could get interdiction to work.
Which I bet if they rub and scrub their genius brain quarks they would have solved that problem to ( SOON™), but they decided to take a shortcut... again.
