And @Montoya , you're financially savvy, you got any opinions on whats happening with the markets? We looking at a full depression, just a recession, or will things level out and jump back up.
The stock market has been soaring like banshee for the past few years. Ever since the financial crisis, the Fed has been fiddling with Quantitative Easing (QE) and doing everything they can to (initially) fill the hole left by the property price crash, but then continued its operations to keep the stock market juiced... because why not.

For the time being, this is just a knee-jerk reaction to the news of how Corona is spreading.

The second we see news saying that the R0 has dropped, markets will bounce right back.

Still to early to say if this is a longer term shift in bullish sentiment or not. Bears have learned not to assume anything over the past decade.

Technically still in an uptrend above that green line connecting previous lows.

I pulled out for the time being(already lost 4k from the 25th, and 26th in america(it takes 2 days... to pull out). I'm really hoping that the dip lasts a moment and i catch it just before it bounces back.

NP man. I take it you live in Anime land? :P If you have any interesting news please share it. The more the better.
I'll tell what i can when i can for now japan is slowly spreading the population for older people is very high in japan so i think the death toll will be a bit higher here than most places. I'm honestly not that worried about it if i get sick i get sick in younger people it has proven to have a very low chance to die from and most people are recovering fairly quickly. The older you are though the higher chances you have to have deadly effects. I think once the vaccine is finally released this whole thing will blow over fairly quickly the only thing i'm worried about is what is going to happen when it mutates and how fast will it mutate? if we nip it in the butt now and give the vaccine out for free and everyone pushes to get it i think things will get better(Thats a perfect world though you know how most people are about going to get stuff like this even if its free)

"Iran’s deputy health minister tested positive for the virus earlier this week, hours after appearing visibly unwell at a press conference during which he denied the government was suppressing the scale of the outbreak. "
Among other Cabinet members it seems. From what I understand you will be imprisoned for up to 3 years for spreading any information on the virus in Iran. Without any halfway decent healthcare system theres going to be a lot more infected and a lot more dead than in other regions. Lots of interesting info coming out of there though.

Something of note:
Corona, is an anagram of Racoon, as in Racoon City.

The biological research lab logo located in Wuhan, where the virus originated...compared to the Umbrella Corporation of Resident Evil:

The logo is real, but it's a different company in Shanghai, not Wuhan.

Reporting from Hungary, Eastern Europe:

We have Zero (officially) reported cases yet. We have 15 ppl outside the country who have been infected. No arrangements were made to return them yet.
I think we are already compromised, we just don't know it yet cos of the long incubation period (here it's 2weeks officially, 26+days according some other sources)

The first wave of panic just hit here in the last 2-3 days. I've been to do the weekly shopping and couldnt find a single piece of disinfectant soap/hand sanitizer.
Only a temporarily out of stock sign.

Masks were out of stock for a over a week. I have some reusable lab grade masks thanks to a relative that I keep for my hobbies (working with paints and such). Not that it makes much of a difference, apparently the aerosolised virus will get through most of the low grade ones you find in drug stores, and mostly because ppl don't wear them correctly. (According to official statement)

The cans section (pictured, 2 shops), rice, and for some reason salt and flour sections were raided as well. Those shelves are normally overflowing with stuff.

Ppl here have absolutely no friggin clue what they should stock up on for a situation like this (buying tons of flour is useless when you have no power/gas to bake it into something edible...), so they buy everything that for some reason makes sense to them. Cans of corn, nah.. Cans of beans, yes. Why??? You can't make a Mexican beans dish without both! lol Also they left a lot of the lentil. Raided the frozen meat section as well. What do they think will happen to frozen sruff if the power goes out?! No sense...
I have some ready to eat food cans and disinfectant already so shouldn't be an issue. It's pretty normal in a post-socialist country to keep some backup. unless it takes months to get new stock, it shouldn't be an issue.

What I'm actually worried about is our healthcare system. You have all seen in real life or on Tv shows like ER and such, where the waiting room is so full of ppl that you cant fit a needle between them right? Now, imagine that taking place in a dilapidated horror movie building or like in video games ( like Outlast). Now remove all but one of the many nurses and doctors that you usually have running around treating the patients.
That's how our hospitals look like on a regular summer day when the worst disease going around is sunburn.
Now imagine what will happen when shit actually hits the fan. It won't be pretty, and with a toddler and 90+ y.o. grandparents, it makes me kinda worried.

Which is bad!

Stress increases the chance of catching a disease! Chill out as much as you can, eat a bit healthy (no, steak twice a day does not keep the doctor away), and practice general good practice of washing your hands, not touching face, the usual.

One practice that is not common but worked over the years at my old studio is not shaking hands, but fist bumping instead! You usually touch yourself with the inside of your hands, not the outside. It's a very slim difference, might not make any in this case, but it worked for us, even in flu season (and nnot sharing keyboard and mice, those are really dirty things)

Anyone knows anything official on how long the virus stays alive on surfaces? All I could find was 2days to a maybe a month, which isn't really helpful.
I got some packages arriving soon, some from Shenzhen even. Should I douse them in chlorine if they were in transit for over 2 weeks?

Something a bit more fun to end on:

Typically virus's in this class have a short survival window outside of the host on hard surfaces of 15 mins. At this point in time, the recommendation is the typical flu season precautions of washing your hands, not touching your eyes and nose and I would add fist bumps or elbow knocks as being preferred.

Other than that, beyond completely isolating yourself from everyone else there is a degree of risk but that risk measured against everyday risk like going to work is surprisingly low.

Went to Lowes. Picked up a 3M respirator with a pack of sealed p100 cartridges and a 2 pair box of P100 pucks. Total was 65 bucks. Ive been cleaning mold and using a lot of chemicals, which is why i probably got bronchitis so i was looking for something like this anyways, but the biggest thing now is the piece of mind, if for some reason i do need to leave the house with a mask.

Edit: Removed a masked selfie
