I dunno whether this is still planned for Q1,-23, but I liked the video here. Though I don't have a compulsion to run a Crucible, I've always loved the notion.

I've long been planning to run the Son's of Orion storyline when we hit Beta. That's the merc mission series fighting Vanduul, and in many ways the primary storyline for our universe. Just outside Vanduul territory, one expects to find a plethora of utility ships from Reclaimers to Star G's. Any Crucibles with Captains and crews brave enough to park close to the battlefield can expect to be super busy and earn top pesos. So even though running a repair shop may not sound exciting, it can entail some tension and threat of adventure.

Anyway, I liked the vid. No idea what the current timeline says about Crucible release.

I like the gameplay idea behind the Crucible. I still don't get how this ship can fulfill that function given its design.

I have one, but I can no longer find it on the roadmap. That might be a function of what @Sky Captain said. There does seem to be something missing from the design - unless it's just for paint jobs, and scratch and ding repair.

There is an old design doc on this ship, it basically 3D prints structural frames like wings then skins the frame, the landing bay called a "scarab" detaches from the ship and large repair arms deploy to service large and capital size ships it also has repair drones on board.
