Right around 49 seconds, there is a twin tailed single engine ship that comes in through the frame before it pans up. I am sure it’s already a ship, but does anyone know which ship that is?

Hmm maybe it's me but the immage of the fleet of starlifter taking off after deliver the Tonk strangely remember me the scene of the invasion of Klendatu.... that didn't end so well...

I think also this is the very first "commercial" CIG make of Crusader or I0m wrong (I don't count the "reunion" video ad a commercial...)?

Anvil Arrow. Are they hinting at a future partnership with Anvil? If so, those partnership ships will be top of the line.

What a cool vid.
But do you think this was
1) filmed in Engine with few scripts written for just this occasion
2) 1) but with few enchantments in post
3) some parts of it were done out of engine or
4) Entirely out of engine
?

Good question. It does look like its filmed in engine with post enhancements made.

CIG has mentioned tools occasionally, including Blender (Open source) which I used to use quite a bit until 2018 (not for SC though). There's also 3DS Max, Maya and so on could do it. There is even a Crytek tool. Can't tell from looking at it. I know @DirectorGunner posted some info on Spectrum a few years ago. He might know more - not sure what he uses now if he's still into it.
and you can use Photoshop or GIMP (open source) for texture maps.

True and I am sure they did some of that. But there is a lot that the engine currently does for them that would require a lot of work placing assets, textures, scripting animations etc in other programs when they can just easily start up a test level spawn the assets they need film it then a video editing software to piece it all together.

Yeah, I've used Blender too, it's neat. Personally, I'm thinking it's probably either 2) or 3), it looks so good that you'd think it's out of engine, but then again having spent several hours staring at various bolts and wall panels inside the game, I'm really not too sure. There would certainly be some assets we've not yet seen in game, but those could be just something that's coming later or assets that the art department churned out but didn't find any real use.

If you look at something like the Nomad promo it's fairly obvious that at the very least some of it is shot in engine, at 4s you can see some grass gradually loading in. I don't think I've seen a 3D modeling software do anything like that. (2:30 or so there is also a tree popping a bit, bottom-center-right)

The CIG ad is very hard to tell what was used, but it looked quite out of engine. The video that @Bambooza posted clearly originates in game but I can't tell how much post processing was done and, I cannot tell because I cannot see it very well.
