But what ship to upgrade?
-Terrapin? She MAY become my Redeemer. Or she May stay my terrapin.
-Carrack, Cat and Harbinger can't be a BMM. Too expensive.
-Cutty Blue? No effing way. That's my Cutty.
-Bucky? I haven't even flown her yet, and she's my second fighter.
My other option is to do a seventh ship.
But then I'd have seven ships. Ugh. Haha.

But seriously, damn. I am wondering what the hell kind of monstrosity I own now. :D This is a pretty awesome surprise since I felt like I missed out on the Caterpillar pirate edition.
I bought a ccu for my cutlass blue to redeemer and already had the redeemer ccu (I have a cutlass red as well and wasn't sure I needed both). I just am not sure I will be that trader focused especially as current iterations are you will die and die again in any fight. The downside of carrying thousands of ccu of stuff is the cost both to trade and if you loose it. This will be an expensive ship to run.

Its no surprise. It was expected to house 5000 scu of storage capable of hauling or carrying almost anything and be akin to a giant shopping mall. It did just that. Slaves, freelancers, ship parts, alcohol it can carry it all.

I just want to carry 5,000 SCU worth of Dragonflies to shit out at my enemies. Is that so much to ask?
Imho if you are owning the BMM your gameplay is kind of fixed, because this is no simple hauler - its more the philosophical paragon of a tradesman. As the name says it, a merchantman. So in my opinion its not the question of getting or not getting a BMM but more a question of what gameplay do I intend to do? Am I a salesman, a trader? Or am I an exploration guy who sometimes needs to do some cargo runs for pimping the banking account?
Thats the reason why I have not bought the BMM. She is impressive, without any question, and I'm very looking forward to hop in for a fun ride. But it fits not into my gameplay interests.

So in the subscriber town hall, 21 minutes in.
Jared confirmed the BMM will be around Polaris size.
However they wont know for certain, until they start building her.
Not as large as in the concept art, but still a considerable size increase.
And somewhere on the lines of capital Banu ship.
I think we can expect prices to increase again.

So wise Sam. These reasons are why I haven't yet purchased a BMM. I don't know what I'd honestly use it for, as I just don't see myself being a trader. But maybe it's uses will grow on me.
