Do you think... ...TEST could set off the Tyrol supernova by crashing Auroras/fully laden Beerfareres into it?

It could be the one great thing TEST does for the universe, ridding the systems of the biggest hive of scum and villainy this side of the Vanduul boarder...? Get the researchers to Tyrol and find out how many ships we are going to need for this...

Pop some atmospheric/heat shielding on the thing and we should be all good.

The one thing we need to work out is would our Auroras PROLONG the life of the star by adding fuel to it, or would it DECREASE the life of the star by upsetting its fragile balance? Even if the ships burn up 5000 miles out i reckon the stars gravity would still pull at least some of the ships charcoaled molecules in to it so the craft would have a presence in the star even if we personally do not touch surface.

Actually the Starfarer Gemini would probably be a good candidate. Increase armor and shields over the base and they both carry refined hydrogen which is what most stars are comprised of. I doubt it would add or detract from its life span, but it would create a glorious solar flare!

If we could inject enough iron into the star, that would cause it to nova. Iron is the last element a star can make during its life, and is what causes it to blow. All heavier elements are created during the nova event.;) I love discovery channel lol
