Yeah, I'll hold off on upgrading my gaming potato for a while. On the plus side, the longer the game takes to launch, the more affordable the hardware will be.

my GPU can take it, but I have a core i5-4670k (OC @ 4.4GHz) and only 8GB of RAM I believe... SSD I have but is not saved on it atm

an i5-4670k will be fine. I don't know why they are suggesting an i7.

I mean..I do know why...but an i5 4670k will work just dandy.

Well given how much RSI talks about how this is a PC-centric game that will take advantage of the most powerful gaming rigs I am not at all surprised. I'm sure the medium setting for Star Citizen is going to be similar to high for other AAA games and the high and ultra settings will just be stunning.

Hooooooooly fuck. Time to get a new processor. I have the Geforce GTX 660 Ti, so I'm set on the graphics-side, but I have a (semi)-old i5, the 750. Time for an upgrade? Always.

Would a super-clocked GTX 650 Ti 1072mhz 2gb and a i5-3570 that maxes around 4.2ghz be able to work untill i can upgrade? I have the right ram

Holy super rig batman! It's settled then. I won't be touching SC until near launch I think. This pains me.

That's the specs for High at 40fps?! That's damn impressive. I guess I'll be running at medium then. I'm sure it will look fine.

I have overclocked my Geforce 650M on my laptop and black smoke is coming out is this bad? So far I have been roasting marshmallows on it and making smores.

Blak smoke is fine... if it turns white that means that the fire has gone out and is a sure sign that your card has broken!

Guess I will be playing dogfighting on low settings then, If I ever get my PC working... apparently I can't fit a SSD without causing me to have to format my PC entirely and reinstall everything over the course of 5 hours!
